MANGOLIA, Ark. – The Harding softball team fell to fifth-ranked Southern Arkansas Sunday in Great American Conference action. The Lady Muleriders won 5-2 and 8-0 (5 innings)
Harding falls to 27-17 overall and 19-15 in the GAC.
Southern Arkansas improves to 42-4 overall and 31-3 in the GAC.
Game One Key Innings (Southern Arkansas 5, Harding 2)
- Harding got on the board first in the first inning when Madi Trump scored on a fielding error.
- Southern Arkansas tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Marina Duran hit a single down the left field line to score Rachel Miller.
- Southern Arkansas added two more runs in the second on three hits and an error.
- The Lady Muleriders went up 4-1 in the fourth when Faith Otts hit a sacrifice fly to left field.
- Southern Arkansas scored its final run in the fifth off two hits.
- Katlyn Gordon hit a solo home run for the Lady Bisons in the sixth for its second run. It was her third of the season.

- Southern Arkansas had eight hits led by Rachel Miller who went 3-for-4.
- Harding had five hits by five different players.
- Victoria Taylor picked up the win for the Lady Muleriders to move to 20-0 on the season. She gave up one earned run and struck out eight.
- Emily Garrett, who started the game, received the loss and falls to 8-4. Amanda Berry pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief and struck out three.
Game Two Key Innings (Southern Arkansas 8, Harding 0 – 5 innings)
- Southern Arkansas scored six runs in the first inning on three two-run home runs.
- The Lady Muleriders added another run in the second and one in the fifth.

- Southern Arkansas had seven hits by seven different players.
- Harding had three hits with Briley Feringa going 2-for-2.
- Jolie Trahan picked up the win to improve to 5-0 for the Lady Muleriders.
- Emma Dwyer received the loss and falls to 10-8. Hannah Fisher pitched four innings of relief and struck out three.
