Harding Men's Tennis Scores Doubles Upset But Falls to Southeastern Oklahoma in GAC Championship

Box Score BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Harding men's tennis scored a huge upset in doubles but 31st-ranked and No. 1 seed Southeastern Oklahoma defeated the Bisons 5-3 in the championship match of the Great American Conference Tournament Saturday.

Harding concludes its season 14-7 and the runner up in both the regular season and conference tournament.

Harding's No. 1 doubles team of Morgan Salvan and Alejandro Sendra defeated the 12th-ranked doubles team of Carlos Anez and Ondrej Nice 8-6. It was their second win over a nationally ranked team this season, also defeating the No. 6-ranked team from Drury.

Salvan and Sendra also provided Harding's two singles victories. Sendra won at No. 2 when Southeastern's Nice retired with an injury. He concluded his season 13-7 in singles and won his last five matches.

Salvan won 6-2, 6-0 over Danrich Kruger at No. 4 to run his record-setting mark to 23-5 this season, the most by a Harding player in the school's NCAA era (since 1997).
