Crisostomo, Tirado Win Eighth Straight; Harding Falls to No. 28 Southeastern Oklahoma

SEARCY – Harding men's tennis earned one point from a tight doubles match but three singles losses resulted in a 5-1 loss to No. 28 Southeastern Oklahoma in Great American Conference play Saturday at the Harding tennis courts.

The doubles victory came at No. 2 where Carlos Crisostomo and Luis Tirado won a tiebreaker 7-4 to take the match 9-8. It was the eighth consecutive win for the duo and pushed their record to 19-7 overall and 11-5 in dual matches.

Crisostomo and Tirado could become only the fourth doubles team in program history to win 20 matches in a season Tuesday when Harding hosts Arkansas-Fort Smith.

The loss dropped Harding to 11-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Bisons play their final GAC match on April 17 at Oklahoma Baptist.
