Harding Men's Soccer Posts 1-0 Shutout over Oklahoma Christian

EDMOND, Okla. – Harding men's soccer freshman Jack Savage scored in the 54th minute to give the Bisons a 1-0 victory in nonconference action Saturday against Oklahoma Christian, a member of the Division II Heartland Conference.

The win gave Harding a 1-0-1 after its season-opening road trip. Harding tied Texas A&M-International 1-1 Thursday in a game played in Dallas. Oklahoma Christian dropped to 1-1-0.

Savage tallied his first collegiate goal and gave Harding a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute. Oklahoma Christian goalkeeper Anthony Trabichet saved Christian Ramos' shot on a free kick, but Savage knocked home the rebound.

Harding senior goalkeeper Michael Wasson made two saves in each half to record the shutout.

Harding's next action is Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Bisons host William Jewell in a nonconference game at Stevens Soccer Field.
