SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team swept Southern Arkansas 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-14) Thursday night in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons extended their winning streak to five matches.
Harding improves to 9-6 on the season and 4-0 in the GAC.
Southern Arkansas falls to 5-11 overall and 1-4 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Leading 10-8 in the first set, Harding went on a 6-1 run to lead 16-9. The Lady Bisons scored the final three points to win the set 25-17. Harding had 18 kills and no attack errors in the set.
SECOND SET
Harding jumped out to 13-7 lead in the second set and cruised to a 25-19 set win. The Lady Bisons held Southern Arkansas to six kills in the set.
THIRD SET
Harding took a 12-6 lead early in the third set. Leading 17-11, Harding closed the set with an 8-3 run to win 25-14. Harding hit .400 and forced seven Southern Arkansas attack errors.
