Harding Volleyball Stays Unbeaten in GAC; Defeats Henderson State 3-1

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team stayed perfect in Great American Conference play after defeating Henderson State 3-1 (13-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-20) Monday night. Before Monday, Henderson State and Harding were the only teams undefeated in GAC play.

It was Harding's sixth straight win.

Harding improves to 10-6 on the season and 5-0 in the GAC.

Henderson State falls to 15-3 overall and 4-1 in the GAC.

FIRST SET

Leading 7-5 in the first set, Henderson State went on a 10-0 run to lead 17-5. The Reddies went on to win 25-13. Henderson State held Harding to hitting .108 in the set.

SECOND SET

With the second set tied at four, Harding went on a 9-3 run to lead 13-7. The Reddies only got seven more points as Harding won 25-14. Harding had 15 kills in the set.

THIRD SET

With the third set tied at 18, Harding went on a 7-1 run to win the set 25-20. All seven points in the run came off kills. The Lady Bisons held Henderson State to hitting .114 in the set.

FOURTH SET

Trailing 17-14, Harding went on a 6-1 run to lead 20-18. The Lady Bisons closed the set on a 5-1 run to win 25-20. Harding had 17 kills and hit .325 in the set.

-          Emma Reeves had a career-high 19 kills and hit a career-high .528 with no attack errors.

-          Madison Poen had 14 kills and tied a career-high with six blocks.

-          Zoe Hardin had 13 kills and six blocks.

-          Rachel Heussner had 45 assists for Harding and six kills.

-          Katherine Cowart had a career-high 19 digs. Taylor Lake had 12.

Henderson State

-          Courtney Bolf had 16 kills and 13 digs.

-          Gigi Garramone led the defense with 16 digs.

UP NEXT
