SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team fell to Southwestern Oklahoma 3-1 (28-26, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21) Saturday in Great American Conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
It snapped a seven match winning streak.
Harding falls to 15-7 overall and 6-3 in the GAC.
Southwestern Oklahoma improves to 11-8 overall and 4-5 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Trailing 9-6 in the first set, Southwestern Oklahoma went on a 9-2 run to lead 15-11. Trailing 23-17, Harding went on a 7-0 run to lead 24-23. The teams traded kills until the Bulldogs scored four of the next five points to win 28-26.
SECOND SET
Trailing 8-7 in the second set, Harding went on a 5-1 run to lead 12-9. The set stayed close until Southwestern Oklahoma went on a 7-1 run to lead 24-18. After back-to-back kills by Harding, the Bulldogs got a kill to win the set 25-20.
THIRD SET
Harding jumped out to 10-2 lead in the third set. Trailing 20-10, Southwestern Oklahoma went on a 11-2 run to pull within one, 22-21. Leading 23-22, a service error and an attack error gave Harding the set win 25-22.
FOURTH SET
Tied at two in the fourth set, Southwestern Oklahoma went on a 4-0 run to lead 6-2. Harding battled back to cut the lead to two, 13-11 but the Bulldogs went on to win the set 25-21.

- Harding was led by Logan Smith who had 13 kills and 20 digs.
- Libby Hinton captured a double-double with 12 kills and a season-high 11 blocks.
- Amber Robin added 11 kills for Harding.
- Katherine Cowart had 20 digs to lead the defense and Emma Winiger had 17 digs.
- Sarah Morehead had 19 assists and 14 digs for the Lady Bisons.
- Harding had 53 kills, 24 attack errors and hit .149 in the match.
Southwestern Oklahoma
- Southwestern Oklahoma was led by Jenny Tackett who had 14 kills.
- Emily Wood had 11 kills and 24 digs for the Bulldogs
- Kaitlyn Dillion led the defense with 25 digs.
- Southwestern Oklahoma had 61 kills, 26 attack errors and hit .166 in the match.
