Salvan, De Lorenzo Earn Wins in 5-2 Men's Tennis Loss to No. 8 Southwest Baptist

Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Harding's Morgan Salvan and Alvaro De Lorenzo both earned straight-set singles wins Friday, but the 43rd-ranked Harding men's tennis team fell 5-2 to No. 8 Southwest Baptist.

Harding fell to 6-2 overall with the loss and 3-2 in regional matches. The Bisons are ranked No. 6 in the region, while the Bearcats at the the Central Region's top-ranked team.

Salvan, a native of France, won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 and improved to 9-3 this season. He has a team-best 6-1 record in dual matches and is now 32-8 in his career.

De Lorenzo, of Spain, won 7-6, 6-2 at No. 6 and is now 9-5 in singles play.

Harding plays again Sunday in Arkadelphia against Mississippi College.
