Harding Men's Tennis Splits in Springfield

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Harding men's tennis split two matches at the Cooper Tennis Complex over the weekend, falling 6-1 to 20th-ranked Drury on Friday and winning 6-1 over NAIA opponent Missouri Valley on Saturday.

Harding is now 6-1 on the season and plays Southwest Baptist on Friday in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Junior A.J. Barrington earned Harding's point against Drury with a 7-5, 2-6, 10-7 victory over Gabriel Barrientos at No. 6 singles. It was his third straight singles win.

Harding swept the doubles matches Saturday against Missouri Valley. Both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles ended with 7-6 Harding wins.

The Bisons won five of six singles matches with wins from Arthur Bellan, Morgan Salvan, Alvardo De Lorenzo, Barrington and Will Reeves.

De Lorenzo and Salvan have a team-high eight singles wins, and Barrington has a team-best four-match winning streak.

Harding is 15-4 this season in dual doubles matches.
