Bellan, Doubles Earn Points For Harding in 5-2 Loss to Abilene Christian

SEARCY – Harding captured the doubles point against NCAA Division I Abilene Christian, but ACU won five of six singles matches to defeat the Bisons 5-2 Sunday at the Harding Tennis Courts.
 
Harding dropped to 8-3 overall, and Abilene won its eighth straight to move to 13-3.
 
Harding won doubles tiebreakers by identical 8-6 scores at No. 1 and No. 3. Alejandro Sendra and Morgan Salvan won at No. 1 for the fourth time in five matches together. Will Reeves and Luis Tirado improved to 2-0 as a duo.
 
Harding's singles point came at No. 2 where Arthur Bellan won 6-7, 6-3, 10-8. Bellan won his third straight singles match and improved to 8-5.
 
Harding's next action is Friday at 1 p.m. against Washburn in Topeka, Kansas.
