SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team fell 2-0 Thursday to Texas-Tyler in non-conference action at the Stevens Soccer Field. The Patriots goals came 18 seconds apart.
It was the first ever meeting between the two teams.
The Lady Bisons falls to 1-2-0 on the season.
Texas-Tyler improves to 2-1-0 on the season.
GOALS
Texas-Tyler 1, Harding 0 – 38th minute – Maren Moore hit a cross that found Bailey Wooten for the goal. It was her first of the season.
Texas-Tyler 2, Harding 0 – 38th minute – Bailey Wooten dribbled down the middle and hit a cross to the right side that found Kiersten Ehler who found the top left corner of the net. It was her first of the season.
STATS
Texas-Tyler had 16 shots, nine were on goal. Mariah Harmon led the Patriots with three shots.
Harding took 13 shots, seven were on goal. Amelia Lewis had three shots, two were on goal for the Lady Bisons.
Jessica Woessner and Jenni Nadeau split time in the net for Harding. Woessner had two saves and Nadeau had five saves.
Harding controlled possession in the game 54 percent to the Patriots 46 percent.
Harding had 10 corner kicks. Texas-Tyler didn't take a corner until seven minutes left in the game.
