ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team fell 3-2 (17-25, 25-18,18-25,25-20, 15-13) at Ouachita Baptist Thursday in Great American Conference action.
Harding falls to 8-6 overall and 1-2 in the GAC.
Ouachita Baptist improves to 8-6 overall and 3-0 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Tied at 13 in the first set, Harding went on an 8-1 run on four kills to lead 21-14. After three Ouachita Baptist points, Harding scored the next four to win 25-17. Harding had 11 kills in the set.
SECOND SET
Leading 9-7 in the second set, Ouachita Baptist went on an 8-0 run to lead 17-7. Harding answered back with a 5-0 run to trail 22-15 but the Tigers went on to win the set 25-18. Ouachita Baptist hit .279 in the set with 15 kills.
THIRD SET
Trailing 9-8 in the third set, Harding went on a 6-0 run on three kills to lead 14-9. Ouachita Baptist battled back to pull within 16-14 but a 7-1 run by the Lady Bisons put the set out of reach as Harding won 25-18. Ouachita Baptist hit .053 in the set.
FOURTH SET
Ouachita Baptist jumped out to a 9-6 lead in the fourth set and didn't allow Harding to get any closer than two the rest of the way as the Tigers won the set 25-20. Ouachita Baptist had 17 kills in the set.
FIFTH SET
Trailing 9-7 in the fifth set, Harding went on a 6-0 run on four kills to lead 12-9. Ouachita Baptist scored the next three points to tie the set at 12. A kill by Logan Smith put Harding up 13-12 but the Tigers scored the next three points to win the set 15-13. Ouachita Baptist hit .462 in the set and had 13 kills.

- Logan Smith tied a season-high in kills (20) and digs (18) for the Lady Bisons.
- Libby Hinton had a season-high 17 kills and six blocks.
- Kelli McKinnon had 12 kills and five blocks.
- Sarah Morehead had 50 assists and 16 digs for Harding. It was the second time she has had over 50 assists in a match.
- Harding had a season-high 104 digs in the match led by Katherine Cowart who had a career-high 30. Kinley Schnell had 18 digs for Harding.
- Harding tied a season-high with 68 kills in the match.
Ouachita Baptist
- Ouachita Baptist had 62 kills in the match and was led by Katie Camp and Emily Low who each had 14.
- Lexie Castillow led the defense with 35 digs.
- Shannon Hogan also had 23 digs.
- Ouachita Baptist had 106 digs in the match.
