Men’s Soccer Opens Season with 3-1 Win

LIBERTY, Mo. – The Harding men's soccer team opened its season Sunday with a 3-1 win at William Jewell, the first-ever road win over a Division II opponent in a season opener.

The Bisons won their season opener for the first time since 2012.

William Jewell, picked 15th of 16 teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason poll, fell to 0-2-0. The loss had to feel a little familiar for the Cardinals, who also lost 3-1 to Rogers State on Friday after taking an early lead.

Harding is now 3-1 all-time against William Jewell. Sunday's victory was the first for a road team in the series.
