Harding Women's Tennis Splits Matches Friday in Texas

PLANO, Texas – Harding women's tennis split a pair of matches to open the spring season Friday at Collin College. The Lady Bisons fell 4-2 to Dallas Baptist, the No. 7 team in the NCAA II South Central Region, and defeated Collin, the 10th-ranked junior college program in America, 6-0.

Harding's points against DBU came on singles wins by Lindy Carpenter (No. 3) and Allison Carpenter (No. 4).
The Lady Bisons won the doubles point against Collin and swept five singles matches. Harding's points came from Allison Carpenter (No. 3) and Ashley Nilsson (No. 5) before Hana Folse clinched the victory with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1. Joee Crocker (No. 6) and Rachel McCrae (No. 4) also earned singles wins.

After Friday's matches, McCrae leads Harding with nine singles wins, including victories during fall tournaments.

Rylie Cox Evans and Folse, ranked No. 4 in Central Region doubles, moved to 9-2 on the season, splitting their matches Friday.

Harding plays its third match of the weekend Saturday against Midwestern State, the 15th-ranked team in Division II. The match will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Collin College.
