SEARCY – Harding men's tennis won its home opener Friday with a 7-0 blanking of Blue Mountain College, an NAIA team located in Mississippi.

Harding improved to 8-1 overall with the victory and travels to meet Arkansas-Fort Smith Saturday at 1 p.m.

Harding won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point. Alvardo de Lorenzo and Morgan Salvan won their sixth straight at No. 1 to move to 7-1 overall.

Harding also won all six singles matches in straight sets. Salvan remained unbeaten at 8-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2. De Lorenzo won his team-best 11th singles match at No. 4, and Dani Ortiz played at No. 1 singles for the first time, winning 6-3, 6-4.
