Harding Men's Tennis Defeats UAFS 6-1 for Ninth Win

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Harding men's tennis defeated its third regionally ranked opponent Saturday with a 6-1 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith. Harding is the No. 3 ranked team in the NCAA II Central Region, while UAFS is No. 7 in the South Central Region.

Harding pushed its record to 9-1, winning its 12th straight match against UAFS, who fell to 0-3.

Harding won all three doubles matches. Alvaro de Lorenzo and Morgan Salvan won 6-1 at No. 1, the duo's seventh straight victory. Arthur Bellan and Dani Ortiz won their sixth straight at No. 2.

Harding won five of the six singles matches, including Morgan Salvan's 7-6, 6-4 victory at No. 3 to keep him perfect in singles play this season at 9-0.

Harding's next action is Saturday, Feb. 29 against Alabama Huntsville in Memphis.
