Harding Women's Tennis Wins Third Straight, Blanks UAFS

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Harding women's tennis won its third match of the weekend with a 7-0 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith Saturday.

Harding won for the fourth time in its last five matches and improved to 6-5 overall. The Lady Bisons play again Tuesday in Russellville, Arkansas, in a nonconference match against Arkansas Tech.

Harding won two of the three doubles matches to take the doubles point. Rylie Cox Evans and Hana Folse won 6-1 at No. 1, for their 15th victory together this season. Allison and Emily Carpenter won 6-1 at No. 2, their fourth straight win as a duo.

Harding won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Evans won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1, and Folse won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2. All three of the Carpenter sisters cruised at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, and Rachel McCrae won 4-6, 7-5, 10-7 at No. 6.

Evans's victory extended her singles winning streak to six matches. Allison Carpenter won her fifth straight.

Harding has won its last eight matches against Arkansas-Fort Smith.
