Softball Drops Doubleheader at Southeastern Oklahoma

DURANT, Okla.  – The Harding softball team dropped both games of a Great American Conference doubleheader at Southeastern Oklahoma Friday. The Lady Bisons fell 4-2 and 6-4.

Harding falls to 11-11 overall and 4-6 in the GAC.

Southeastern Oklahoma improves to 14-8 overall and 6-4 in the GAC.


Game One Key Innings (Southeastern Okla. 4, Harding 2)

-         B1 – Karsyn Brigance hit a single up the middle that scored Symphoni Shomo from second. (Harding 0 , Southeastern Okla. 1)

-         T2 – Nicole Shano hit a solo home run to right center and Hannah Garrett hit a triple that scored Aidan Nichols from first. (Harding 2, Southeastern Okla. 1)

-         B4 – Augusta Duty reached on a bunt that scored Kady Fryrear. Tena Spoolstra hit a bunt single that scored Kamarie Wallace. (Harding 2, Southeastern Okla. 3)

-         B5 – Kyia Monahwee hit a double that scored Kennedy Salyers. (Harding 2, Southeastern Okla. 4)

 
Game One Key Statistics

-         Southeastern Oklahoma had eight hits all by different players.

-         Harding had five hits by five different players.

-         Nichole Shano's homerun was her second of the season.

-         Amberlyn Walsworth got the win for the Savage Storm. She pitched 4 1/3 innings and struck out five. Katie McCullar got the save for Southeastern. It was her fifth save of the season.

-         Jenna Hipp received the loss for Harding. She falls to 3-5.

-         T2 – Mary Mills Lochala hit a single that scored Nicole Shano.  (Harding 1, Southeastern Okla. 0)

-         T3 – Nicole Shano hit a single through the right side that scored Kendall Tramel. Amanda Fields had a RBI groundout that scored Hanna Jones. (Harding 3, Southeastern Okla. 0)

-         B4 – Ivy Amador hit a single that scored two runs. Symphoni Shomo had a sacrifice fly that scored Amador. (Harding 3, Southeastern Okla. 3)

-         T5 – Nicole Shano hit a single to left field that scored Hanna Jones from second. (Harding 4, Southeastern Okla. 3)

-         B5 – Augusta Duty reached on a fielder's choice that scored Kady Fryrear and Kamarie Wallace stole home. (Harding 4, Southeastern Okla. 5)

-         B6 – Karsyn Brigance hit a RBI ground out that scored Beard. (Harding 4, Southeastern Okla. 6)

 
Game Two Key Statistics

-         Southeastern Oklahoma had 11 hits. Four players had two hits.

-         Harding had nine hits led by Nicole Shano who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

-         Katie McCullar got the win for Southeastern Oklahoma to improve to 7-3. She pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief and had two strikeouts.

-         Emma Dwyer received the loss for Harding and falls to 2-1. She pitched 2 2/3 innings.

-         The two teams will wrap up their four-game series Saturday with a doubleheader starting at noon.
