Harding Men's Indoor Track and Field Ranked 11th Nationally

SEARCY – The Harding men's indoor track and field team is ranked 11th in NCAA Division II in the first national rankings, released Tuesday by the United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Harding compiled 74.17 points in the organization's scoring system. Grand Valley State is No. 1 in the rankings with 236.81 points.

Freshman pole vaulter Dorian Chaigneau accounted for 20.96 points in Harding's total. He ranks second in Division II with a season-best height of 5.13 meters (16 feet, 10 inches).

Harding's distance medley relay team stands second in Division II with a season-best time of 10:35.63, good for 19.34 points.

Senior Matt Hipshire's 4,681 points in the heptathlon ranks fourth in Division II and is worth 15.40 points in the rankings.

Chaigneau and junior Alex Hindman (4.83 meters) have both reached the NCAA provisional standard in the pole vault. Hindman ranks seventh in Division II.

Harding's next meet is Friday, Jan. 29, at the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kansas.
