SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team fell 3-2 (18-25, 25-18, 26-24, 20-25, 15-12) to No. 19 Oklahoma Baptist Saturday in Great American Conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
Harding falls to 9-5 overall and 5-2 in the GAC.
Oklahoma Baptist improves to 12-3 overall and 5-2 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Harding took a quick 5-1 lead on five kills to open the first set. Leading, 23-18, Harding had back-to-back kills to win the set 25-18. Harding had 20 kills in the set and hit .354.
SECOND SET
Trailing 8-5 in the second set, Oklahoma Baptist went on a 5-0 run on three kills to lead 10-8. Leading 12-11, Oklahoma Baptist went on a 6-0 run on three kills to lead 18-11. Oklahoma Baptist won the set 25-18. Oklahoma Baptist held Harding to hitting -.062 in the set. Harding had 12 attack errors.
THIRD SET
Trailing 21-20 in the third set, Oklahoma Baptist scored the next three points to lead 23-21. Harding answered back and took a 24-23 lead with a 3-0 run until Oklahoma Baptist won the next three points to win the set 26-24.
FOURTH SET
Trailing 11-9 in the fourth set, Harding went on a 9-1 run on four kills to lead 18-12. Leading 24-20, a kill by Libby Hinton gave Harding the set 25-20. Harding had 14 kills in the set led by Amber Robin who had seven. Harding held Oklahoma Baptist to hitting .068 in the set.
FIFTH SET
Tied at three in the fifth set, Harding went on a 7-2 run on five kills to lead 10-5. Oklahoma Baptist answered back with four straight points to pull within one 10-9. Harding had back-to-back kills to lead 12-9 until Oklahoma Baptist won the next six points to win the set 15-12. Each team had nine kills in the set. Harding had five attack errors to Oklahoma Baptist two.

- Harding tied a season-high with 64 kills, 30 attack errors and hit .165 in the match.
- Harding had four players in double-figure kills. Logan Smith led Harding with a season-high 17 kills. Amber Robin also tied a season-high with 13 kills. Libby Hinton and Kelli McKinnon each had 10 kills.
- Sarah Morehead captured a double-double tying a season-high with 53 assists and a season-high 20 digs.
- Harding had a season-high 97 digs. Emma Winiger led Harding with 22 digs. Logan Smith had 18 digs and Amber Robin had 17 digs.
Oklahoma Baptist
- Oklahoma Baptist had 62 kills, 26 attack errors and hit .184.
- Oklahoma Baptist was led by Malia Leatherland who had 19 kills.
- Taneyah Brown had 15 kills and 15 digs.
- Diana Carranza led the defense with 31 digs.
