Fifteen Bisons Score in 95-60 Victory over Champion Christian

SEARCY – Sophomore Taylor Currie scored 20 points and senior Ramiro Santiago added 15, and Harding defeated Champion Christian 95-60 Tuesday in nonconference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House. It was Harding's second straight victory after two losses to open the season.

Sixteen Bisons played in the game with 15 scoring at least one point.

Harding (2-2) plays its third straight home game Saturday against Arkansas-Fort Smith, a member of the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference.

Champion Christian is a school of around 100 students located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and affiliated with the National Christian College Athletic Association. The Eagles' schedule includes games against both NCAA and NCCAA teams.

Harding had two 12-0 runs during the first half and led 42-22 at halftime. The Bisons pulled away in the second half.

Currie shot 10 of 16 from the field and led the team with seven rebounds. Santiago made three of Harding's season-high 10 3-pointers and added seven assists. Josh Perkins dropped in 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

Ariyon Williams led Champion Christian with 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
