Collins Leads Harding to Fourth Quarter Comeback Victory

SAN ANGELO, Texas – Harding scored the first 15 points of the fourth quarter to erase a nine-point deficit and defeat Texas Woman's 64-56 Saturday in women's basketball action at the ASU Thanksgiving Invitational.

Harding (4-1) won its fourth straight and opens Great American Conference play Thursday at home against Southern Arkansas. Texas Woman's, who defeated GAC opponent Arkansas Tech on Friday, fell to 4-2.

Harding trailed 47-39 entering the fourth, but senior Hannah Collins connected on three 3-pointers during the 15-0 run. Sophomore Sage Hawley made two layups during the stretch, the second one giving Harding a 48-47 lead with 6:30 left. Collins' second and third 3-pointers pushed the lead to 54-47 at the 4:24 mark.

Harding led by at least four the rest of the way.

Collins led the Lady Bisons with 22 points, 10 coming in the fourth quarter. She was 5 of 7 from 3-point range. Hawley also had 10 points in the fourth period and finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, her fourth straight double-double. She was 10 of 16 from the field.

Both teams shot 38% from the field.

Ashley Ingram came off the bench to led Texas Woman's with 14 points.
