The Harding men's soccer team scored in the final minutes of the first half but couldn't keep Rogers State scoreless in the second half and tied the Hillcats 1-1 on Saturday in Claremore, Oklahoma. Harding finishes the season 4-7-3 and 4-5-3 in conference action. Rogers State is now 11-4-3 and 7-3-2 in conference.
Harding had only three shots in the first half, but Elliot Bracy scored his third goal of the season in the 43
rdminute from
Georgios Petousis to take the 1-0 lead into halftime. Rogers State tied the game in the 72
ndminute off Ruben Carrasco's sixth goal of the season. Both teams had two shots on goal in the second overtime but were unable to score to finish in a 1-1 draw.
In the match, Rogers State outshot Harding 21-11. The Hillcats had eight shots on goal while the Bisons had only six.
Jared Nitz got the start in goal for the Bisons and recorded a season high six saves. Petousis lead the Bisons offense with three shots, two of which were on goal.
