Harding Women's Tennis Wins Fourth Straight, Defeats SAU 5-2

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Harding women's tennis team won its fourth match in a row, defeating Southern Arkansas 5-2, on Saturday at the Ward Tennis Center. It was the first victory over the Muleriders since they renewed their program in the fall of 2018.
 
The Lady Bisons started the match by winning the doubles point. Rylie Cox Evans and Emily Carpenter won 6-2 at No. 1, and Hana Folse and Lina Romero won 7-6 at No. 3. Both pairings picked up their second victories in as many tries.
 
Reigning GAC Player of the Week, Folse picked up the second point of the match with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory. After a loss at No. 2 singles, Romane Britt and Cox Evans both won three-set matches to give the Lady Bisons their fourth victory of the year. Britt has now won the first five matches of her career. Lindy Carpenter captured the fifth and final point of the match with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 6 for her fourth straight victory.
 
The Lady Bisons will travel back to Arkadelphia on March 5 to take on Henderson State beginning at 11 a.m.
