ARKADELPHIA, Ark.  – The Harding softball team completed the series sweep Saturday after taking both games of the Great American Conference doubleheader over Henderson State. The Lady Bisons won 10-3 in the first game and 9-4 in the second game.

Harding improves to 10-2 overall and 6-2 in the GAC.

Henderson State falls to 3-14 overall and 2-8 in the GAC.

Game One Key Innings (Harding 10, Henderson State 3)

-         B1 – Abbie Moore hit a sacrifice fly to score a run for the Reddies (Henderson State 1, Harding 0)

-         T3 – Harding scored eight runs on six hits and no errors. Briley Feringa doubled in two runs and Amanda Fields hit a two-run home run to highlight the inning. (Harding 8, Henderson State 1)

-         B5 – Ashlyn Taylor had a sacrifice bunt that scored Crysta Larey (Harding 8, Henderson State 2)

-         T7 – Hanna Jones hit a double to left field that scored Madison Fraley and Ashton Bryce had a RBI ground out. (Harding 10, Henderson State 2)

-         B7 – Addie Jordan hit a sacrifice fly that scored Crysta Larey (Harding 10, Henderson State 3)

 
Game One Key Statistics

-         Each team had nine hits in the game.

-         Amanda Fields and Madison Fraley each went 2-for-3 at the plate. Fields' homerun was her second of the season.

-         Jessica Bridges threw the complete game for Harding and improves to 3-0. She gave up two earned runs and had one strikeout against 31 batters.

-         Henderson State starter Becca Almond received the loss and falls to 0-4 on the season.

Game Two Key Innings (Harding 9, Henderson State 4)

-         T1 – Nicole Shano hit a two-run home run to left field (Harding 2, Henderson State 0)

-         B1 – Henderson State scored three runs on three hits (Henderson State 3, Harding 2)

-         T2 – Makenzie Chappell reached on an error which allowed Jordan Cabana to score (Harding 3, Henderson State 3)

-         T3 – Ashton Bryce hit a singled down the right field line that scored Hannah Garrett and Faith Waugh (Harding 5, Henderson State 3)

-         T5 – Ashton Bryce and Jordan Cabana both singled in a run (Harding 7, Henderson State 3)

-         B5 – Monica Monreal had a RBI single to left field (Harding 7, Henderson State 4)

-         T6 – Nicole Shano hit a deep fly ball to center that scored Hanna Jones and Makenzie Chappell. (Harding 9, Henderson State 4)

 
Game Two Key Statistics

-         Harding had 11 hits in the game led by Hanna Jones who went 3-for-4. Chelsea Blankenship, Ashton Bryce and Jordan Cabana each had two hits.

-         Henderson State had seven hits with three players having two.

-         It was Nicole Shano's second home run of the season.

-         Hanna Jones had four stolen bases in the game which broke the previous Harding record of three.

-         Lily Tanski got the win in six innings of relief to improve to 6-1. She gave up one earned run and struck out four against 24 batters.

-         Mallory Brewer received the loss for Henderson State and falls to 1-6 on the season.
