The Harding men's tennis team captured their third straight win to improve to 5-2 on the season, defeating Rockhurst 6-1 in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday afternoon. The Bisons dropped just five sets in the eight matches played.
The Bisons won the doubles point for the fourth straight match. Alvaro de Lorenzo and
Morgan Salvan won their third match of the season 6-2 at No. 1.
Dani Ortiz and
Arthur Bellan secured the doubles point with a 6-1 victory at No. 2.
De Lorenzo won his team-high sixth match of the season with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 5. The Hawks got their lone point of the match at No. 1 singles before the Bisons won the remaining five matches. Ortiz won at No. 2, 6-3, 7-5.
Bryce Walker and Salvan both won their third straight matches at No. 6 and No. 3.
Luis Tirado won the final point of the match for the Bisons with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 4.
The Bisons will look to continue their winning streak on Saturday when they travel to Maryville, Missouri to take on Northwest Missouri State at 1:00 p.m.
