CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Harding softball team swept the non-conference doubleheader over Delta State Monday. The Lady Bisons won 11-0 in six innings in the first game and won the second game 8-7.
Harding moves to 15-4 overall and Delta State falls to 16-11.
Game One Key Innings (Harding 11, Delta State 0 (6))
- T1 – Nicole Shano hit a double to center field that scored Makenzie Chappell (Harding 1, Delta State 0)
- T3 – Hanna Jones hit a solo home run to left field. It was her first homerun of the season. (Harding 2, Delta State 0)
- T4 – Amanda Fields hit a two-run home run to left field. It was her third home run of the season. (Harding 4, Delta State 0)
- T5 – Harding scored three runs in the fifth, highlighted by a two-run home run by Ashton Bryce. It was her first collegiate homerun. (Harding 7, Delta State 0)
- T6 – Harding scored four runs on four hits and two errors. Briley Feringa hit a solo home run to center field her first of the season and Ashton Bryce hit a two-run double to right center (Harding 11, Delta State 0)

- Harding had 12 hits with Chelsea Blankenship going 3-for-3. Hanna Jones, Nicole Shano and Ashton Bryce each had two hits.
- Delta State had four hits by four different players.
- Lily Tanski got the win for Harding and improves to 9-2 on the season. She threw the complete game shutout, had one walk and struck out seven. It was her eighth complete game and fifth shutout.
- Lacey Coats received the loss and falls to 12-3 overall.

- B1 – Karley Bloesch had a ground out RBI (Delta State 1, Harding 0)
- T2 – Amanda Fields hit a sac fly that scored Nicole Shano and Briley Feringa singled in Jordan Cabana from second. (Harding 2, Delta State 1)
- T4 – Amanda Fields hit a two-run home run to left field. It was her fourth of the season. (Harding 4, Delta State 1)
- B4 – Summer Cryder hit a three-run home run to left field (Harding 4, Delta State 4)
- T5 – Hanna Jones hit a two-run home run to left field. It was her second of the season (Harding 6, Delta State 4)
- B5 – Delta State scored three runs on three hits (Delta State 7, Harding 6)
- T7 – With runners at first and second, Chelsea Blankenship hit a bases clearing double to right field to give Harding the lead. (Harding 8, Delta State 7)
Game Two Key Statistics
- Each team had 12 hits in the game.
- Nicole Shano led Harding going 3-for-4 at the plate. Jordan Cabana, Chelsea Blankenship and Briley Feringa each had two hits.
- Five different Delta State players had two hits in the game.
- Lily Tanski got the win for Harding to improve to 10-2 on the season. She pitched 2 1/3 inning of relief and struck out four.
- Olivia Burns received the loss for Delta State and falls to 3-6 on the season.
