MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Harding softball team shutout Arkansas-Monticello 3-0 Friday in game one of the three-game Great American Conference series.

Harding improves to 17-6 overall and 10-5 in the GAC.

Arkansas-Monticello falls to 7-14 overall and 6-12 in the GAC.

Key Innings (Harding 3, Arkansas-Monticello 0)

-         T3 – Ashton Bryce hit a RBI single to left field that scored Makenzie Chappell from second for Harding's first run. Bryce came around and scored when Jordan Cabana hit a triple to right field. (Harding 2, Arkansas-Monticello 0)

-         T4 – Hanna Jones hit a single to left center that scored Faith Waugh from third (Harding 3, Arkansas-Monticello 0)

 
Key Statistics

-         Harding had seven hits in the game as Hanna Jones lead the Lady Bisons going 2-for-4 at the plate.

-         Arkansas-Monticello was held to only two hits.

-         Lily Tanski got the win for Harding to improve to 12-3 on the season. It was her sixth shutout of the season. Tanski went the distance and had five strikeouts.

-         Maddie Chalenburg received the loss for Arkansas-Monticello and falls to 2-5 on the season.
