MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Harding softball team scored 20 runs Saturday in a Great American Conference doubleheader at Arkansas-Monticello. The Lady Bisons won the first game 11-2 and the second game 9-1 in six innings.
After Friday's result, Harding won the series over Arkansas-Monticello 3-0. It was the Lady Bisons fourth series win and the second series sweep of the season. Harding swept Henderson State in Arkadelphia earlier this season.
Harding improves to 19-6 overall and 12-5 in the GAC.
Arkansas-Monticello falls to 7-16 overall and 6-14 in the GAC.
Game One Key Innings (Harding 11, Arkansas-Monticello 2)
- B2 – Mahayla Mitchell hit a single for UAM to score Haley Godeaux from second. (Arkansas-Monticello 1, Harding 0)
- T3 – With runners at first and second, Makenzie Chappell hit a bases-clearing double to left center that scored Madison Fraley and Mackenzie Law. (Harding 2, Arkansas-Monticello 1)
- T5 – Nicole Shano hit a two-RBI single to left field that scored Makenzie Chappell and Madison Fraley. (Harding 4, Arkansas-Monticello 1)

- T7 – Harding scored seven runs on six hits and an error. Mackenzie Law highlighted the inning when she doubled to left center, which cleared the bases after being loaded. Game One Key Statistics
- Harding had 14 hits led by Nicole Shano who went 3-for-5 with three RBIs. It was her seventh multiple hit game of the season and her second three-hit game. It was also her third multiple RBI game and her second with three or more RBIs.
- Makenzie Chappell and Mackenzie Law each also had two hits and three RBIs. It was Chappell's fourth multiple hit game and her first multiple RBI game. It was Law's first multiple hit and multiple RBI game.
- Madison Fraley went 3-for-3 with three runs scored for Harding. It was her first three-hit game of the season.
- Arkansas-Monticello had eight hits led by Haley Godeaux and Caroline Tedder who each had two hits.
- Jessica Bridges got the win for Harding to improve to 5-2. It was her fourth complete game of the season. She gave up one earned run and struck out four.
- Jamie Franks received the loss for Arkansas-Monticello to fall to 3-5 on the season.
Game Two Key Innings (Harding 9, Arkansas-Monticello 1 (6 Inn.))
- T3 – Nicole Shano hit a grand slam to left center. It was her third home run of the season and her first collegiate grand slam (Harding 4, Arkansas-Monticello 0)
- T5 – Chelsea Blankenship doubled in a run and Amanda Fields had a ground out RBI (Harding 6, Arkansas-Monticello 0)
- T5 – Nicole Shano hit a two-RBI single to left field that scored Makenzie Chappell and Madison Fraley. (Harding 4, Arkansas-Monticello 0)
- B5 – Summer Perkins hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Haley Cornell (Harding 6, Arkansas-Monticello 1)
- T6 – Hanna Jones hit a two-run home run to left field. It was her fourth home run of the season. Harding's third run of the inning came when Ashton Bryce hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Allison Hyatt. (Harding 9, Arkansas-Monticello 1)

- Harding had 13 hits with five players having multiple hits. Nicole Shano went 3-for-3 at plate. Makenzie Chappell, Hanna Jones, Ashton Bryce and Chelsea Blankenship all had two hits for the Lady Bisons.
- Arkansas-Monticello had four hits all by different players.
- Lily Tanski got the win for Harding to improve to 13-3 on the season. It was her 11th complete game of the season. She gave up one earned run and struck out three.
- Sam Stephens received the loss for Arkansas-Monticello and falls to 1-3 on the season.
