WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Hanna Jones hit a three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to lift Harding softball over Southwestern Oklahoma 13-11 in Great American Conference action. The win gave the Lady Bisons the series sweep after Harding won both games of the doubleheader Saturday.

Harding improves to 27-11 overall and 18-9 in the GAC.

Southwestern Oklahoma falls to 9-23 overall and 9-18 in the GAC.

-         T1 – Harding opened the game scoring four runs on four hits in the first inning. Nicole Shano hit a three-run home run to center field to highlight the inning. It was her sixth home run of the season. Ashlyn Peterson singled in Harding's other run. (Harding 4, Southwestern Okla. 0)

Key Statistics

-         Harding had 14 hits with Hanna Jones and Nicole Shano each having three. Chelsea Blankenship, Makenzie Chappell and Ashlyn Peterson all had two hits.

-         Southwestern Oklahoma had 17 hits led by Jewell Lee and Keanni Barron who each had four.

-         Hanna Jones had six RBIs in the game which ties Harding's record for the most in a game. It has happened two other times with the last being by Autumn Humes at Southern Nazarene in 2017. It was Jones' fifth multiple RBI game of the season.

-         Nicole Shano also drove in four for the Lady Bisons. It was her eighth multiple RBI game of the season.

-         Harding played 19 players in the game.

-         Jessica Bridges got the win for Harding to improve to 9-4. She left in the third inning and then reentered in the seventh to get the win. She pitched five innings and had two strikeouts.

-         Miranda Grover received the loss for Southwestern Oklahoma and falls to 5-13. She pitched 6 1/3 innings of relief.
