ADA, Okla. – The Harding softball team move its winning streak to 10 games Friday after a doubleheader sweep of East Central in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons won 9-0 in five innings and 2-1.

Harding improves to 29-11 overall and 20-9 in the GAC. The Lady Bisons will be looking for win number 30 Saturday. It would be the sixth time since the program restarted in 2014 that Harding has won 30 or more games in a season.

East Central falls to 17-21 overall and 13-19 in the GAC.

Game One Key Innings (Harding 9, East Central 0 (5 innings))

-         T3 – Harding scored three runs on three hits in the inning. Nicole Shano and Makenzie Chappell each had RBIs in the inning (Harding 3, East Central 0)

-         T4 – Nicole Shano got her second RBI of the game when she hit a single through the left side that scored Faith Waugh (Harding 4, East Central 0)

-         T5 – Harding scored five runs on four hits and an error. Amanda Fields highlighted the inning when she hit a solo home run to center. It was her sixth home run of the season. Ashton Bryce also hit a triple down the right field line that scored Madison Fraley.  (Harding 9, East Central 0)

 
Game One Key Statistics

-         Harding had 12 hits in the game. It was the fifth straight game the Lady Bisons have had 10 or more hits in a game.

-         Ashton Bryce led Harding going 3-for-3 at the plate. Hanna Jones and Nicole Shano also had two hits.

-         Shano had three RBIs in the game. It was her ninth game this season having multiple RBIs in a game. It was the seventh time she has had three or more in a game.

-         East Central had four hits and were led by Kaleigh Ham who went 2-for-2.

-         Lily Tanski got the win for Harding and improved to 18-6 on the season. It was her 15th complete game and her seventh shutout. She also had six strikeouts in the game.

-         Lauren Herreckar received the loss for East Central and falls to 7-5 on the season.

Game Two Key Innings (Harding 2, East Central 1)

-         B2– East Central got on the board first when Rikki Hadley hit a solo home run to left field (East Central 1, Harding 0)

-         T3 – Harding scored two runs on two hits and two errors. Madison Fraley laid down a sacrifice bunt as Kendall Tramel scored and Fraley reached base and went to third on an error. Ashton Bryce then hit a single to center field that scored Fraley (Harding 2, East Central 1)

 
Game Two Key Statistics

-         Harding had four hits with Ashton Bryce going 2-for-4. It was Bryce's 14 multiple hit game of the season. Jordan Cabana and Kendall Tramel also had a hit.

-         East Central had two hits by two different players.

-         Jessica Bridges got the win for Harding to improve to 10-4 on the season. It was her eighth complete game as she gave up one earned run and struck out four.

-         Taia Harris received the loss for East Central and falls to 7-5 on the season.
