The Harding men's tennis team swept the 16
th ranked team in NAIA, Blue Mountain 7-0 on Thursday at the Elliott Tennis Center. The Bisons improved to 7-4 on the season and Blue Mountain fell to 7-6.
All three doubles teams for the Bisons won their sixth matches of the year.
Morgan Salvan and Alvaro de Lorenzo won 6-0 at No. 1 for their second straight victory.
Arthur Bellan and
Dani Ortiz won 6-4 and
Luis Tirado and
Diego Pierola won 6-1.
In singles action, De Lorenzo won his team-high ninth win of the season, 6-1, 6-1. Salvan won his sixth singles match of the year with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3. Ortiz returned to No. 1 singles after six matches and clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.
Bryce Walker won his seventh match of the season at No. 5, 6-3. 6-2. Tirado won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 4. Bellan snapped a 7-match win streak with a 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 victory in a third set match tiebreaker.
The Bisons travel to Shawnee, Oklahoma to take on Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 1 p.m. before taking on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Sunday at 10 a.m.
