ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team won its third straight Great American Conference match Thursday after defeating Henderson State 3-1 (25-18, 26-24, 23-25, 25-17) in Arkadelphia.
Harding improves to 7-3 on the season and 3-0 in the GAC.
Henderson State falls to 11-4 overall and 1-2 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Trailing 9-8 in the first set, Harding went on a 7-1 run on four kills to lead 15-10. Leading 20-17, Harding won five of the next six points to win the set 25-18. The Lady Bisons had 17 kills and hit .385 in the set.
SECOND SET
Trailing 15-13 in the second set, Harding went on a 4-0 run on three kills to lead 17-15. Trailing 23-20, Harding won the next four points on three kills to lead 24-23. A kill by Henderson State's Christiane Uzoh tied the set at 24. A kill by Logan Smith and then a service ace by Smith gave Harding the set 26-24. The Lady Bisons had 19 kills in the set.
THIRD SET
The third set stayed close in the opening points. Trailing 19-17, Harding went on a 6-1 run on four kills to lead 23-20. Henderson State answered back with five straight kills to win the set 25-23. Neither team hit well in the set, Harding hit .054 and Henderson State hit .077.
FOURTH SET
With the fourth set tied at eight, Harding went on a 10-2 run to lead 18-10. Henderson State tried to battle back but Harding went on to win 25-17. Harding had 16 kills and held Henderson State to hitting .093.

- Harding tied a season-high with 64 kills, 25 attack errors and hit .213 in the match.
- Skyler McKinnon led Harding with 15 kills. Kelli McKinnon had 13 kills, Libby Hinton had 12 kills and Logan Smith had 10 kills.
- Sarah Morehead captured a double-double with a season-high 53 assists and 15 digs.
- Emma Winiger had a career-high 36 digs to lead the Harding defense.
Henderson State
- Henderson State had 47 kills, 22 attack errors and hit .144.
- Violeta Mendoza Quintana led the Reddies with 17 kills and 13 digs.
- Christiane Uzoh also had 12 kills.
- Makenzie Thoman led the defense with 23 digs.
