Harding Men's Soccer Ends Season with 3-2 Comeback Win over Ouachita

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Harding had only three shots on goal Saturday in its men's soccer season finale, but the Bisons scored on all three of them and defeated Ouachita Baptist 3-2 in a game moved to Hot Springs Lakeside High School due to poor field conditions at Ouachita's Kluck Field.

With the game tied 2-2, junior forward Elliott Bracy scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season with just over a minute and a half left to give Harding the victory. It was his second game-winning goal of the season for Harding, who finished 4-11-2 overall and 4-6-2 in the GAC/MIAA.

Ouachita ended its season 1-13-4 overall and 1-9-2 in conference.

Ouachita led 2-0 before Harding's comeback began with Georgios Petousis's third goal of the season in the 62nd minute.

Freshman defender Sikan Akpanudo tied the game only 80 seconds later with his first goal of the season. Jonah Pastiroff provided his team-leading fifth assist.

Just under 26 minutes later, Bracy scored the game-winner.

Harding's goalkeeping duo of Alex Kirsten-Westgard, who received his first career start, and Jared Nitz combined for nine saves on Ouachita's 11 shots on goal.

Kirsten-Westgard made six saves before giving way to Nits in the 67th minute. Nitz added three saves in his time between the posts.
