SEARCY – For the sixth time in program history the Harding volleyball team will be participating in the NCAA Division II National Tournament. The Lady Bisons will take on host Wayne State Friday in Wayne, Nebraska at 7:30 p.m.
It is the first time since 2018, Harding will be making an appearance in the tournament.
The Lady Bisons will be the No. 8 seed in the central regional. Wayne State will be the No. 1 seed.
Other matchups in the regional are: No. 4 Northwest Missouri vs. No. 5 St. Cloud State, No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul vs. No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 3 Minnesota Duluth vs. No. 6 Washburn
Harding, who is on a 28-match winning streak, earned the Great American Conference automatic bid after defeating Northwestern Oklahoma in the conference tournament championship. It was the Lady Bisons third GAC Tournament title.
Harding heads into the tournament with a 30-1 record.
Wayne State comes into the tournament as the No. 2 team in NCAA Division II. The Wildcats fell to Augustana 3-2 in the opening round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament.
