Box Score The Harding women's basketball had 12 players score as they defeated Puerto Rico-Bayamón 88-54 in San Jan, Puerto Rico on Wednesday morning.
Sage Hawley led the Lady Bisons with 14 points while
Tate Wells posted a season-high ten points.
Harding improves to 3-3 on the season.
The Lady Bisons took advantage of UPR-Bayamón turnovers throughout the game, scoring 31 points off 21 turnovers. The Harding bench also outscored their opponents', 47-15.
The Lady Bisons shot 50% from the field for the game, including a season high nine three-pointers. Wells and
Kendrick Bailey both made two each.
After a close first quarter, Harding blew open the game in the second, outscoring UPR-Bayamón 31-8 in the quarter including a 16-0 run to finish the half.
Jacie Evans and
Itziar Ugarte both scored nine points for the Lady Bisons, while Ugarte also grabbed six rebounds. Freshmen
Ella Grace Thompson and
Hailey Mason also added eight points apiece.
The Lady Bisons will return to action Thursday night, when they take on Puerto Rico-Mayaguez at 5 p.m.
