Box Score The Harding men's tennis team dropped their first match of the season Friday night, falling to Seward County CC 5-2 in Arkadelphia. The Bisons fall to 6-1 on the year while the Saints improved to 4-0.
The Bisons fell behind 1-0 after doubles action. The Bisons lone win was at No. 2 with
Arthur Bellan and
Dani Ortiz winning 6-2. The win was the sixth in a row for the pair.
The two points the Bisons won came from No. 1 and No. 5 in singles. Ortiz won his fourth straight match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
Bryce Walker needed a tiebreaker but ultimately continued his perfect record in dual matches, winning his seventh straight match 3-6, 6-3, 10-8. The Saints won the remaining four matches without dropping a set.
The Bisons will return to action on Sunday February 27 when they host Missouri-St. Louis beginning at 1 p.m.
