The No. 39-ranked Harding women's tennis team won their fifth straight match on Thursday at the Elliott Tennis Complex, defeating Arkansas Tech 5-2 in a non-conference matchup. Harding improves to 8-3 on the year and Arkansas Tech drops to 2-4. The two teams will play their GAC match on April 15 in Russellville.
Harding won the doubles point for the fourth straight match, and jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after dropping the first doubles match.

Lindy Carpenter won at No. 2, 6-3. It was the fourth straight match that the pair has won 6-3 at No. 2. All eyes turned to No.1 where
Allison Carpenter and
Grace Dodd took down the No. 48-ranked doubles team in NCAA Division II by a score of 6-4 to secure the point for the Lady Bisons. The win was the first time a doubles team has defeated a nationally ranked opponent since
Rylie Cox Evans and Arisa Takanashi took down the No. 3-ranked team from Washburn on March 15, 2019.
Needing just three singles victories to take the match, the Lady Bisons secured two quick wins at No. 5 and No. 6 to start singles action.
Allison Carpenter won her tenth match of the season with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6.
Lindy Carpenter pushed her singles winning streak to seven and stayed perfect at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Arkansas Tech grabbed their first point of the match with a win at No. 4 before Britt clinched the match for the Lady Bisons with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2.
Lina Romero picked up the final point for the Lady Bisons in a long 7-5, 5-7, 10-7 win at No. 3.
The Lady Bisons will take a day off before playing their third home match in four days on Saturday when they host Missouri Western beginning at 12 p.m.
