The No. 33-ranked Harding women's tennis team had their seven-match winning streak come to an end on Thursday when they fell to No. 44-ranked Auburn-Montgomery 4-2 at the Elliott Tennis Complex. Harding falls to 10-4 on the year while Auburn-Montgomery improves to 8-2.
 
The Lady Bisons fell behind after doubles action, where the Warhawks won all three matches. Grace Dodd and Allison Carpenter fell at No. 1 6-1. Both matches at No. 2 and No. 3 were back and forth and needed a tiebreak to determine the winner. Romane Britt and Lindy Carpenter fell 7-6 (7-2) at No. 2 while Emily Carpenter and Allison Jenkins fell 7-6 (7-3) at No. 3.
 
The Lady Bisons responded by winning the first two singles matches to take a 2-1 lead. Lindy Carpenter cruised to a quick 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5. Lindy Carpenter has now won nine of her last 10 matches and remains perfect at No. 5. Lindy Carpenter also became the 14^th player in program history to win 60 career singles matches. Emily Carpenter won at No. 6, 6-3, 6-3 for her 14^th win of the season. The Warhawks won the next three singles matches to clinch the match and take down the Lady Bisons.
 
Harding will return to action on Wednesday March 23 when the Lady Bisons host Arkansas-Fort Smith beginning at 1 p.m.
