For the second straight day,
Lina Romero was pushed to three sets but eventually won to clinch a win and a GAC Regular Season Championships for the No. 34 Harding women's tennis team as they defeated Arkansas Tech in Russellville 4-3 on Friday (April 15) afternoon. The Lady Bisons claimed their third GAC Regular Season Championship and their second in a row.

The Lady Bisons (17-4, 5-0) jumped out to the early 1-0 lead after doubles action with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
Emily Carpenter and
Allison Jenkins started the match with a 6-0 victory at No. 3.
Romane Britt and
Lindy Carpenter picked up their 12
th win of the season at No. 2 with a 6-2 victory to clinch the point for the Lady Bisons.
Grace Dodd and
Allison Carpenter were tied 4-4 at No. 1 when their match was stopped.

The Golden Suns (6-6, 2-1) went ahead in the match at 2-1 with two singles victories at No. 4 and No. 3.
Allison Carpenter leveled the match with her ninth straight victory with a 6-1, 7-6 at No. 6. Allison improved to 13-2 on the year in dual matches.

Lindy Carpenter won her 20
th match of the season in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 at No. 5 to push the Lady Bisons back up 3-2. Romero, who clinched the match on Thursday (April 14) against Southeastern Oklahoma State, won at No. 2, 6-0, 2-6, 6-3 to clinch the match yet again. Romero was the only Lady Bison who went a perfect 5-0 in GAC play. The Golden Suns took the final match at No. 1 to reach the final score of 4-3.

The Lady Bisons will host their final home match of the season on Saturday (April 16) when they take on Delta State at 2 p.m. The Lady Bisons will honor five seniors on Saturday in a Senior Day ceremony after the matches. The five seniors are
