The No. 29-ranked and top seed Harding women's tennis team won the first four singles matches against Southern Arkansas on Saturday (April 30) to win the match 4-1 to move into the GAC Women's Tennis Tournament Championship on Sunday (May 1) against No. 3-seed Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Lady Bisons picked up their eighth straight win and moved to 18-4 on the season while Southern Arkansas finished the season 5-17.

The Muleriders jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after a dominant performance in doubles action. The Muleriders won easily at No. 1 and No. 3 and were leading at No. 2 when play was stopped.

The Lady Bisons however responded with dominant play in singles action. All-GAC Second Team honoree
Lindy Carpenter scored the first win of the day for the Lady Bisons with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5. Carpenter is now 21-10 this season and 12-2 at No. 5.

Lina Romero continued the singles victories at No. 2 with a 6-4. 6-4 victory. The win was Romero's fifth straight win and continues her perfect record against GAC opponents.
Romane Britt earned her 22
nd victory of the season with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 victory at No. 3. Britt is now tied for ninth in most singles victories in a single season with her 22 wins.

Allison Carpenter continued her winning ways, earning her tenth consecutive victory with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 win at No. 6 to clinch the match for the Lady Bisons. Carpenter is now 14-2 in dual matches this season.

The Lady Bisons will look to capture their second consecutive GAC Women's Tennis Tournament Championship when the take on Southeastern Oklahoma State, in a rematch of the 2021 GAC Championship, beginning at 1 p.m.
