SEARCY – Mississippi College scored on a free kick in the 15th minute for the only goal in the Choctaws' 1-0 victory over Harding men's soccer Friday at the Stevens Soccer Field.

Harding dropped to 0-3-0 on the season and plays its fourth straight member of the Gulf South Conference Sunday against Delta State. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

Mississippi College (2-0-0) won its second straight by identical 1-0 scores.

The Choctaws outshot the Bisons 19-9 overall and 10-2 in shots on goal.

Harding goalkeeper Jared Nitz matched his career high with eight saves.
