Women’s Soccer Falls at Southwestern Oklahoma

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team fell to Southwestern Oklahoma 2-1 in Great American Conference action Wednesday.

Harding falls to 3-6-5 on the season and 1-3-4 in the GAC.

Southwestern Oklahoma improves to 3-8-3 overall and 3-3-2 in the GAC.

GOALS

Southwestern Okla. 1, Harding 0 – 19th minute – Julie Anderson found Elvira Gunnarssson who scored her third goal of the season.

Southwestern Okla. 2, Harding 0 – 25th minute – Gunnarsson found the back of the net for her second goal of the game.

Southwestern Okla. 2, Harding 1 – 50th minute – Kim Barcenas sent a long free kick to the feet of Gabie Eddins who turned and shot with her left foot to lower right corner for her first collegiate goal.
 

STATS

Harding took nine shots, six were on goal. Gabie Eddins came off the bench and had three shots, two were on goal.

Southwestern Oklahoma took 11 shots, four were on goal. Ruth Vasquez led the Bulldogs with three shots.

Michaela Potter played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Lady Bisons and had two saves.

Southwestern Oklahoma took nine of its 11 shots in the first half.

Neither team had a corner kick in the first half.

NEXT UP

Harding will be back in action Saturday when it hosts Northwestern Oklahoma on senior day at 11 a.m., at the Stevens Soccer Complex. The senior day ceremony will before the game.
