SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Northwestern Oklahoma in Great American Conference action at the Stevens Soccer Complex on Saturday.
Before the game, Harding recognized seniors Kim Barcenas, Briley-Anne-Brown, Sydney Fawks, Mimi Herring, Caitlann Potter, Georgia Templeton, Melissa Ventura and Bethanie Dixon for their contributions to the women's soccer program.
Harding falls to 3-7-5 on the season and 1-4-4 in the GAC.
Northwestern Oklahoma improves to 2-6-7 overall and 1-3-5 in the GAC.
GOALS
Northwestern Okla. 1, Harding 0 – 40th minute – Lily Anderson took a corner kick and bent it into the back of the net for her third goal of the season.
Harding 1, Northwestern Okla. 1 – 47th minute – Gabie Eddins stole the ball from the defensive goal kick and found the lower right corner of the net. It was her second straight game with a goal.
Northwestern Okla. 2, Harding 1 – 53rd minute – Isabella McMillian stole the ball from the Harding defense and shot from 35-yards out over the goalkeepers' hands for the goal. It was her fourth of the season.
STATS
Harding took 10 shots, four were on goal. Regan Thompson led the Lady Bisons with three shots.
Northwestern Oklahoma took 15 shots, eight were on goal. Isabella McMillian led the Rangers with six shots, three were on goal.
Michaela Potter and Maysa Willis split time in goal for the Lady Bisons. Potter started and had four saves and Willis had two saves.
Northwestern Oklahoma took nine of its 15 shots in the first half.
