SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team dropped its first home match of the season Friday, falling to Southeastern Oklahoma 3-1 (16-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23) in Great American Conference action the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
Harding falls to 14-9 overall and 9-2 in the GAC. After Friday's GAC results, the Lady Bisons are still in first place in the conference standings.
Southeastern Oklahoma improves to 10-12 overall and 9-2 in the GAC.
FIRST SET
Trailing 3-2 in the first set, Harding went on a 13-4 run on six kills to lead 15-7. After three Southeastern Oklahoma points, Harding went on to win the set 25-16. Harding had 14 kills in the set and hit .393.
SECOND SET
Tied at 12 in the second set, Southeastern Oklahoma went on a 6-2 run to take a 18-14 lead. Harding answered back with a 4-0 run on two kills to tie the set at 18. The Savage Storm won the next four points to take a 22-18 lead. Trailing 24-21, Harding had back-to-back kills to pull within one, 24-23 but a Lady Bison error gave Southeastern Oklahoma the set 25-23. Each team had 14 kills in the set.
THIRD SET
Harding jumped out to a 11-6 lead in the third set on eight kills. Southeastern Oklahoma battled back with 12-4 run on eight kills to lead 18-15. The Lady Bisons fought back to pull within one 24-23 but an attack error gave the Savage Storm the set 25-23.
FOURTH SET
Southeastern Oklahoma took a 4-0 lead in the fourth set before Harding went on an 8-0 run to lead 8-4. Trailing 12-8, the Savage Storm went on an 8-3 run on six kills to lead 16-15. Tied at 23, Southeastern Oklahoma had back-to-back kills to win the set 25-23. The Savage Storm had 19 kills in the set and hit .318.

- Harding had 53 kills, 21 attack errors and hit .231 in the match.
- Chloe Ingersoll led Harding with 13 kills and Skyler McKinnon had 11.
- Emma Winiger had 17 of Harding's 72 digs in the match. Logan Smith-Morgan also had 15 digs and Cam Hinton had 12.
- Ashley Lamkin and Libby Hinton each had four blocks for Harding.
Southeastern Oklahoma
- Southeastern Oklahoma had 59 kills, 23 attack errors and hit .224 in the match.
- D'Nari Mills led the Savage Storm with 13 kills.
- Southeastern Oklahoma had 69 digs in the match with four players ending in double-figures. Amaya Constantino and Faith Kruebbe each had 15 digs for the Savage Storm.
