HAYS, Kan. – Harding midfielder Ignacio Arsuaga scored his first goal of the season Saturday, but the Bisons dropped a 4-1 decision to Fort Hays State on Saturday in GAC/MIAA action.
The loss dropped Harding to 5-9-1 overall and 3-6-0 in conference play. The Bisons have nine points in the conference standings and remained in fifth, four points back of Northeastern State for fourth place with three regular season games remaining. The top four teams make the conference tournament. Fort Hays is 6-6-2 overall and 5-2-2 in conference with 12 points and in second place.
Fort Hays scored in the 25th minute and led 1-0 at halftime. The Tigers added three goals in less than a five-minute span of the second half and led 4-0 before Arsuaga's goal in the 82nd minute. Jonah Pastiroff and Andrew Wagner assisted on the goal.
Harding's next action is at home Thursday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. against Rogers State.
