CLAREMORE, Okla. — The 21st-ranked Rogers State Hillcats defeated the Harding men's soccer team 3-0 Saturday in GAC/MIAA action.

Harding falls to 3-8-1 overall and 1-5-0 in the GAC/MIAA. Rogers State improves to 7-2-2 overall and 4-1-0 in the GAC/MIAA.

Rogers State scored two goals in the first half and adding another in the second half. Erik Hjertsson, Trindon Turner, and Marcos Vasallo were the goal scorers.

TEAM NOTES:

• Harding's loss was its fifth consecutive and seventh in its last eight games.
• Harding was shutout for the fourth time in the last five games.
• Rogers State took 25 shots compared to Harding's seven.
• Harding's last four opponents have attempted 20 or more shots after only two of its first eight opponents shot 20 or more times.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:

• Defender Jacob Hernandez and midfielder Jimmy Tuyishime played the full 90 minutes. This was the fourth time Hernandez achieved this feat this season, and the first time for Tuyishime.
• Harding goalkeeper Alex Kirsten-Westgard made a career-high 10 saves.

SERIES NOTES:

• Rogers State leads the series 6-1-2 and has won the last three meetings ... Harding's lone win was a 1-0 victory in Searcy in 2019.
