Harding's Women Win 10 Events at Rhodes 7-Way Meet; Vehner Breaks Triple Jump Record

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Here is a summary of Harding women's track and field performance Saturday at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet:

Harding won the meet with 197 points, defeating Rhodes (183), Mississippi College (141), Christian Brothers (96), Belhaven (40), and Millsaps (30).
Harding won 10 events, had three NCAA provisional marks and broke one school record.
Briana Johnson won the 200 meters in 25.01 seconds.
Cella Nguema won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.09 seconds.
Lisa Retailleau won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.47.
Josie Parks won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:14.61.
Harding's team of Briana Johnson, Kylie Hall, Sarah Gautreaux and Cella Nguema won the 4x100-meter relay in 48.44 seconds.
Kiera Blankinship won the high jump with a clearance of 1.67 meters or 5 feet, 5.75 inches.
Sierra White won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.85 meters or 12 feet, 7.50 inches, an NCAA provisional height but off her season-best of 13 feet, 1.50 inches.
Karyna Vehner won the triple jump with a school-record and NCAA provisional mark of 12.27 meters or 40 feet, 3.25 inches. Vehner broke the previous mark of 39 feet, 8.50 inches, set by teammate Mariah Miller in 2021. Miller also had a provisional mark of 11.99 meters or 39 feet, 4 inches. Vehner ranks eighth in Division II with Miller 21st.
Kaylee Hausam won the discus with a mark of 41.28 meters or 135 feet, 5 inches.
Meghan McElroy won the javelin with a mark of 36.05 meters or 118 feet, 3 inches.
Lauren Shell also competed in the heptathlon at the Carl Kight Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas. She scored an NCAA provisional 4,600 points, a new PR and ranked 14th in Division II.
