Harding Women's Track in Action at Arkansas and Arkansas State

SEARCY – Over the weekend, the Harding women's outdoor track and field team was in action at the John McDonnell Invitational and the ASU Red Wolf Open. Below are the highlights of Harding's athletes.

At the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas:

Harding had two NCAA provisional qualifying heights in the pole vault … junior Sierra White cleared 3.99 meters or 13 feet, 1 inch and placed fourth … senior Sarah Gautreaux placed 10th with a height of 3.79 meters or 12 feet, 5.25 inches … White is ranked ninth in Division II in the pole vault with Gautreaux is 29th.
Junior Mariah Miller had a provisional in the triple jump … she placed sixth with a mark of 12.09 meters or 39 feet, 8 inches … Miller ranks 22nd nationally in the triple jump.
Freshman Cella Nguema broke her own school record in the 100-meter hurdles … she ran 14.54, topping her previous best of 14.57.
Junior Anna Kay Clark also turned in a top-five finish … she placed fifth in the javelin at 41.00 meters or 134 feet, 6 inches … Clark ranks sixth in Division II in the javelin.

At the ASU Red Wolf Open in Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Harding had two top-three finishes in the running events … freshman Kaia Bieker placed third in the 800 meters in 2:15.83 … Harding's 4x100-meter relay team of Briana Johnson, Kylie Hall, Sarah Gautreaux and Cella Nguema placed third in 48.57 seconds.
Harding had three top-three finishes in the field events … sophomore Kiera Blankinship placed second in the high jump by clearing 1.66 meters or 5 feet, 5.25 inches … junior Madison Hiteshew placed third in the discus at 42.32 meters or 138 feet, 10 inches … junior Meghan McElroy placed second in the javelin at 35.45 meters or 116 feet, 4 inches.
