SEARCY – Southwestern Oklahoma scored a second-half goal to defeat the Harding women's soccer team 1-0 Wednesday in Great American Conference action at the Stevens Soccer Complex.
Harding falls to 2-4-3 overall and 0-1-2 in the GAC.
Southwestern Oklahoma improves to 1-6-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the GAC.
GOAL
Southwestern Okla. 1, Harding 0 – 50th minute – Ruth Vasquez found the upper left corner of the goal from 25-yards out. It was her second goal of the season.
STATS
Harding took 11 shots, there were on goal. Lauren Service and Calle Citty each had three shots for the Lady Bisons.
Southwestern Oklahoma also took 11 shots, seven were on goal. Ruth Vasquez led the team with three shots, two were on goal.
Harding tied the game in the 65th minute off a free kick from 20-yards out but it was disallowed due to encroachment on the Lady Bisons at the wall.
Maysa Willis played the full 90 minutes in goal for Harding and had six saves.

Harding will make the long trip to Alva, Oklahoma this weekend when it takes on Northwestern Oklahoma at 11 a.m., on Saturday.
